FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

21st July 2004

FIFTY EIGHT NOT OUT - CARIB

Locked out workers of Carib Glass Works (CGL) and Caribbean Development Company (CDC) will soon be back on the job.

But before they do though, they will hold a Mass Rally where they made home for the past fifty-eight  (58) days. The rally is expected to take place at 10:00 a.m on Thursday 22nd July, outside Carib Compound, Eastern Main Road Champ Fleurs.

Carl St. Rose President of the Carib Workers Section said,

“The workers of Carib have definitely lived up to he reputation of the working class citizens of this country… never to be defeated. We are going back to the negotiating table on the request of our employer and hopefully we will resolve our differences there. It has been a long and hard 58 day struggle and we have done well – 58 not out!”
