NUGFW TO PICKET TATIL
The National Union of Government and Federated Workers will join the National Trade Union Centre when it pickets TATIL on Friday 16th July 2004, from 11:00 a.m. This is part of the extended support for Carib workers who were locked out of their workplace by employer since 24th May 2004.
TATIL is an Insurance Company and a part of the Ansa McAl Group of Companies.
Other Unions are expected to join in solidarity and lend support to these aggrieved workers.
Speaking from his Henry Street office, President General of the NUGFW and President of NATUC, Robert Giuseppi said,
“ It is imperative that we support our brothers and sisters in the Carib struggle. The results of their fight will have far reaching consequences to all working class citizens. We started at Standards and now we will move to TATIL. We will picket every division of the Ansa McAl group until the end of this lock out.”
