FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

9th July 2004

SPIRITS STILL HIGH – CARIB WORKERS FAMILY DAY

In spite of being locked out of their workplace, workers of Caribbean Development Company (CDC) and Carib Glassworks (CGL) have decided to have a Family Day on Saturday 10th July 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lock Out Camp Gate, Champ Fleurs.

Speaking before the Family Day activities President of the Carib Workers Section Carl St. Rose said,

"We intend to keep our spirits high. Spending the day in solidarity with each other and our families is a perfect way to show that we are standing together for what we believe in and that nothing can put a damper on our spirits. It is expected to be a day of good fun."

Members of the public are invited.
